A “vanilla package’s” latest BLM protest experience

So, yesterday, my friend and I showed up, masked up, equipped with water bottles, to a BLM protest/candle light vigil.

As soon as we arrived on scene, loads of water, Gatorade, snacks and masks were offered. Soon, the organizers of this particular event started speaking. Full of love, compassion, urgency and calls for unity. Beautifully black and brown younger and more seasoned sisters and brothers of different organizations.
